Mainly localised to the Brecks, although fairly widespread records throughout the county.

Heathland, moorland, damp grassland and open woodland.

When at rest, Four-dotted Footman shows only three dots, with one being hidden by the overlapping wings.

Recorded in 53 (72%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1873.
Last Recorded in 2023.
